Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ReputationsDefender ("we," "us," or "our"), operated at reputationsdefender.com, collects, uses, and discloses information when you visit our website. We built this site to help people protect their own privacy, so we've tried to keep our own data practices straightforward.
Scan and Contact Forms
When you request a free reputation scan or send a message, we collect the details you enter: the name or business, website (if provided), city, state, email address, and any message. We use these details only to run the scan, send your report or reply, and handle your request. Please do not enter Social Security, bank, or card numbers. Our forms check for common patterns and reject them, but you should not rely on that check alone.
Forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-protection service, which processes limited technical data to tell people from automated traffic. Form submissions are delivered to our team through a secured connection. Where a delivery service is not yet configured, we will tell you rather than accept a message silently.
What We Do Not Do With Form Details
We do not sell the details you enter into a scan or contact form. Your scan details are not used to build advertising profiles.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly: If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include in your message.
Automatically collected information: Like most websites, we may use analytics tools and advertising partners (including Google AdSense) that collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring site, typically through cookies or similar technologies.
How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries sent through our contact form or email
- To understand aggregate site usage and improve our content
- To serve relevant advertising through third-party ad networks
Cookies and Advertising
We may use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, and advertising. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about Google's advertising practices and opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
Third-Party Links
Our articles link to external resources, including government tools, platform removal forms, and in some cases affiliate partners (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.
Your Choices
Most browsers let you control or block cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site functionality. You can also use browser extensions or built-in tracker-blocking features for additional control.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
